Net Frocks Overview
Fashion designing has always been the part and parcel of the lives of the women who wanted to live at their best and maintain a lavish living lifestyle. Fashion designing can be defined as ‘’the art of making fashionable apparel’’. With time, the art of fashion designing developed and reached a point where fashion accessories were also included in it. The fashion accessories that we are talking about are necklaces, watches, nose pins, earrings, etc. So fashion designing in this world of 21st century means ‘’creation and making of fashion’’.
FASHION NOWADAYS:
Gone are those days when fashion designing was considered as mere designing of clothes. It has evolved and developed into a ‘’fully-fledged working industry’’. They are only very few of the people who have earned a lot in this field. We can see examples from our country like HSY, Sana Safinaz, Maria Batla, and many more. So the point is no matter in which country you live in, the need for fashion designing will always be there and one can earn and progress in this field regardless of his/her country.
FROCKS:
The history of wearing and making frocks dates back to the 16th century. Originally it was worn by the women in Great Britain. From the 18th century onwards, this term was applied to long-trench coats of men used by people who were shepherds or hunters and even by farmworkers. The frock was a loose cutaway of cloth in which people felt comfortable to carry on their daily activities. The frock then evolved into a frock coat which is still used by people today as a bathing coat and further, it became the morning coat. So we can see that not only women but men also wore some form of the frock and it had been the official dress of the parliamentarians in the UK in the 17th century.
NET CLOTH:
Net or Netting is a very useable form of textiles. It is used widely in the global fashion trade in the making of clothes and also in the manufacture of coverings of machines. The ‘’net cloth’’ has vast uses. It is a type of cloth in which yarns are used. Yarns are twisted; interlocked, fused to develop a strong and synthetic cloth that provides very tough strength and that was the reason this cloth was originally used for fishing. The quantity and the quality of the yarns used determine the strength and decide whether the netting is durable or fragile.
NET FROCKS:
So, frocks were made from cotton, chiffon, chicken cloth, etc. But in the later onset of the 20th century, the net cloth was used in the making of frocks. This revolutionized the use of net cloth. First, it was used for machines and fishing but then it came into the world of fashion designing. This had many benefits.
- The cloth is synthetic and is cheap to produce.
- The cloth is light-weight and can be worn in very comfortably
- The yarns decide whether the cloth is thick or not. So this means that it can be worn in summers as well as winters.
- The net cloth is see-through. It, when worn by women, aggravates their attractiveness. This was the reason this cloth was used and accepted by everyone in the field of fashion designing.
