Acne Cream Overview
One of the most common skin condition that is prevalent among all ages is acne. Acne is a one skin concern which no one can avoid. It is bound to happen to everyone once in their lifetime. It occurs when your hair follicles struggle with oil and dead skin cells, which in result causes blackheads, pimples, and whiteheads. This is common among teenagers since they go through a lot of hormonal and bodily changes in that phase.
How severe the acne would depend upon the skin type. Sensitive skin is more prone to allergic reactions and acne and then oily skin and at last, the dry skin. The severity of acne can cause skin scars if not treated with care.
The four main reasons for acne occurrence are:
- Excess hormonal activity
- Excessive oil production
- Bacteria
- Hair follicles plugged with oil and dead skin cells
Acne can also be caused due to excessive sun exposure which is why doctors recommend using sunblock in the house and even when out of the house. People suffering from severe acne treatments usually opt for acne creams and have achieved their desired result through the application of the creams.
Acne creams are used when the severity of the acne is moderate and does not require a visit to the doctor. It is recommended to discuss it with a dermatologist before applying any cream to the affected area since it may cause an allergic reaction.
