Murree Brewery is one of the leading beverage company in Pakistan. It is the largest and oldest manufacturer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in Pakistan.
History
In 1857 Punjab was under the rule of British people. To meet its beer requirements, Murree Brewery was established in 1860. It was incorporated after a year at Ghora Galli near the Pir Panjal range, which is at the height of 6000 ft above the sea level, located near the resort town of Murree.
In the 20th century, the name Murree got famous for its beer in keg and bottles and beers in the army messes of British India. In 1876 at the Philadelphia exhibition, it was awarded a medal for the first time for its excellent products and has been awarded several other awards over the past 140 years. It is now located on the National Park Road in Rawalpindi.
Murree Brewery is now in the 25 top companies of Pakistan Stock Exchange. It produces a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic products. Some of its premium products are:

Muslims are prohibited from consuming alcoholic drinks. The Provincial Government issues a permit to Non-Muslims and foreigners for buying alcoholic drinks. Without the license, the drinks can't be purchased.

As the production of Murree brewery started to increase, due to that the crime rates also started to increase as due to such alcoholism acts, crimes are prone to happen more.
In Pakistan due to drinking alcohol and driving, there have been millions of accidents that have occurred which took the lives of people, and also risking the lives of other people.
Secondly in Pakistan, drinking of alcoholic beverages are more often seen to be used in parties and social events which leads to worst consequences. As there many people who get drunk at the party and they often are not in their senses what they are doing and saying, due to which millions of people have been kidnapped especially in women as drunk people are easy to target than the ones who are not drunk and are in their senses, as when a person is drunk they can not feel what is going on in around them and they do not know what situation they are at and due to that, they become victims of kidnapping and rape.
SIDE EFFECTS OF DRINKING MURREE BREWERY/ALCOHOL
- The person who drinks alcohol are the ones whose kidney is at high risk as alcohol damages the kidney and it ends up in kidney failure.
- Drinking alcohol damages the brain cells which leads to an inability to remember or recall.

Verdict
After writing my report about Murree brewery, I concluded that there should be more precautions and awareness that needs to be spread in Pakistan to save our upcoming generations from such awful acts and incidents.
We should take some serious action to ban the alcoholic beverages in Pakistan and there should be shops to sell alcoholic beverages on identification whether the person is a non-Muslim or Muslim and should be sold to non-Muslims only.
