Mirrorless Camera Overview
Starting from its History, the first mirrorless camera was released in October 2008, in Japan. This camera was named as Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1. A mirrorless camera has no reflex mirror or an optical viewfinder; these cameras use a digital display system instead of the optical viewfinder. A lot of companies introduced Mirrorless cameras after Panasonic. Some Companies includes:
- Canon
- Nikon
- Sony
- Fujifilm
DSLM better than DSLR
DSLM (digital single-lens Mirrorless) Camera is better than the DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera in many ways.
- Such as it uses a digital display system rather than the optical viewfinder, which makes it easier to use,
- In DSLR, light falls onto the viewfinder whereas, in DSL, the light falls directly on the sensor where the photographer can see the picture.
- DSLM, being more light in weight and smaller in size as compared to the DSLR, which are heavier than those. Especially for the people who travel a lot, DSLM is always the right choice.
Lens Quality
DSLM has the same lens quality as the DSLRs. Because the same quality, size, and megapixel lenses are used in both. The lens quality differs from companies or brands.
Dynamic Range
When it comes to the range of the lens, we see that different brands of cameras show different results, such as if you test Nikon Camera, it's fine when the exposure is lower, but it doesn't give good results when you increase the exposure level. Looking over Canon Mirrorless camera, it is Excellent even when the exposure is low or even if it is high. Sony's mirrorless camera does really well overexposure but not really well under the exposure.
Autofocus
If we look through this, the Autofocus of a lens is when the lens automatically focuses on the particular area correctly, even when the object is moving in front of the camera.
Nikon Camera's Autofocus is not really good, when the object moves in front of the camera, it kind of blur the picture sometimes or doesn't capture it right. Canon Camera results show that its Autofocus is Brilliantly Amazing, it focuses on the object correctly, either the object is going far or coming closer to the lens. Sony's pixel quality is also very good, and its Autofocus is really amazing.
Image Quality
If you focus on the image quality of different cameras of different brands, you see there is a difference in the image quality of each camera. Nikon camera, captures a really bright Image, its own exposure is high whereas in the Canon Camera, the brightness and the focus level is equally amazing, The Sony camera captures a picture with slight darkness in the Image, as compared to the Canon, but the overall image quality of Sony is good.
ISO
As you Increase the level of ISO in the Image captured by the Nikon mirrorless camera, it would be more bright and a bit noisy. In the Image by a Canon camera, as the ISO level is increased, the image doesn't become noisy or much brighter; it remains perfect whereas, in the Sony Camera image, you would see a large range of noise in the Image, as the ISO level is increased.
Advantages/ Disadvantages.
Advantages
- It is easier to hold a lightweight and smaller in size camera.
- Having no reflex mirror attached, the light directly falls onto the sensor, capturing a high-quality image.
- Even when capturing continuous shots, the Autofocus of the camera remains adjusted.
Disadvantages
- The battery life of a mirrorless camera is very low.
- Difficult for the photographer to focus, because of the small digital display.
Conclusion
Mirrorless camera varies with Companies, of course, but itself is really easier to use and easier to carry device for photographers, the picture quality is more HD, because of no mirror attached to it.
