Kids Lunchbox Overview
Remember the lunchbox which was happily carried in our bags and enjoyed with our classmates during lunchtime. No wonder some of us would prefer to eat lunch our friends had brought and detested ours, complaining at home to give the food as our buddies.
THE EMERGENCE OF LUNCH BOXES
In the past decades it was called “Lunch pail” or “Lunch Kit,” the idea was conceived during the industrialization period when many American men started working in factories and industries for unscheduled working hours. Lunch was the need of the hour, and for its daily consumption, it had to be delivered fresh and safe.
Tobacco tins came into existence followed by metal lunch boxes; the only possession on lunch boxes was in the hands of the elite who used fancy wooden boxes. In 1935, Guder Paeschke and Frey made the first licensed Mickey mouse lunch box. It had trays inside and handles.
Finally, the real lunch box comes out in 1950 specifically made by Aladdin Group which was based on the popularity ratings of children’s TV show Hop along with Cassidy and was popularly known as “Hoppy.”
VARIETIES OF LUNCH BOXES
Easy lunch box/ Bento lunch boxes
It has three compartments giving sufficient space to an extra amount of food and water bottles. Come in a colourful range with easy lid openings.
Rubber made lunch box and Sandwich container
It is lined with blue ice block which keeps the containers intact and also regulates their position by firmly immersed in the box. The food stays fresh for a long period of time. Is leak-proof with free from microwave, dishwashing and BPA material.
Stainless steel
It is made from pure stainless steel, has a capacity of 1600ml. Provide a tight seal are easy to clean and wipe and is free from vinyl and other toxics. Not ideal for soups and drinks.
Panino
It is big enough to fit sandwiches, salads and other treats. Includes four compartments with the leak-proof ceiling. Free from plastic and ideal use for the refrigerators. Are easy to carry.

For excursions and full-day outings, extracted from EPA foam PEVA resources. Is fitted in metal hardware settings and has multiple compartments for keeping food crisp. Also have two ice packs, a mesh pocket for storing small items. Can be used for microwaving and dishwashing purposes, available in five colours and comes along with an attractive zipper.

PROS
- Due to its lightweight, they are easy to carry around and can easily fit in your bag with ease.
- Since they are made up of plastic, it has higher durability, which does not break easily.
CONS
- They are not air-sealed, which does not keep them protected from the water, and the water can easily be in contact.
