HTC Corporation is actually a Taiwanese consumer electronics company whose headquarters are located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The HTC U ULTRA is an HTC flagship phone that was released in February 2017. The phone revolutionized the phone market of its era by offering two screens. Yes, at that time, it was considered a new feature that looked futuristic. The phone itself was a competitor the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge at that time, but still, it could not come at par with the features and the battery life Samsung offered. The key feature of this phone was its dual-screen design. There was a QHD 5.7-inch display, which was the major display, but apart from that, there was a 2.05-inch front-facing display beside the front camera. Now, this was something the smartphone market had not seen before. The front-facing secondary display was actually a new widget that showed the essential notifications or the recently or the most used apps for quick access and accessibility. For example, the Notes app which reminded you of your daily tasks right on top of the screen when you unlocked it without you having to go through the struggle of opening the apps.

The phone comes with a 5.7-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen. The screen offers a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and an aspect ratio of 169. The screen supports about 16 million colors. Also, the screen is protected by the durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in the 64 GB variant and sapphire crystal glass in the 128 GB variant.
Operating Software
The Android that was offered with this device was Android 7.0 (NOUGAT), but to keep it in the game of smartphones for a longer period of time; it could be upgraded to Android 8.0 (OREO). The chipset integrated into this flagship was Qualcomm SNAPDRAGON 821. The CPU was QUAD-CORE, and the GPU offered was ADRENO 530.
Memory
The device came with 64 gigabytes of internal storage with about 4 gigabytes of RAM. It also had an advanced variant that was offering 128 Gigabytes of internal storage with about the same RAM.
Cameras
The main camera is a 12MP f/1.8 camera. The good thing about the camera is its dual-LED dual-tone flash. The camera recorded 2160p video at 30fps and 720p video at 120 fps.
The selfie camera is 16MP f/2.0, and it had an auto HDR feature that further enhanced the colors of the image, giving it a crisp and a much better-looking photo.

The phone had a non-removable 3000mAh Li-ion Battery,, and it supported fast charging of about 18W. It also came with Quick Charge 3.0. The battery offered a standby time up to 312 hours and a talk time of about 26 hours.
